AeroTow T2 Aircraft Tug Reviews

Does everything we need it to do

“After we acquired our own hangar, we were looking for ground handling equipment, and I was told to look at AeroTow. I wanted something reasonably priced that worked well, so that’s why I got the T2. I’ve used several different brands of ground handling setups like the T2, and this one does everything we need it to do.

I don’t have any complaints about this at all really, but at one point we did have an issue where it wouldn’t move very fast. I called up the salesperson, and she had me tell customer service what was going on, and they called me right back and offered to send out a new part. After we put it in, it solved our problem. The customer service and the support on that was excellent. I do wish this model had a setup so we didn’t have to use the winch on it.

I definitely recommend the T2 over any of the higher-priced ones because it will do everything that those ones can. I was glad that guy told me about it cause this was the way to go.” – Rodney Clark, Piper Jetprop & Cessna 182 owner

AeroTow T1 Aircraft Tug Reviews

Works well

The AeroTow T1 works well and changeovers from SR22 to 182 are quick and easy. Tech support was quick to answer any questions. 5 out of 5 stars.” – Gary M., Cirrus SR22 & Cessna 182 owner

The right tool for the job

“The AeroTow is exactly what I needed to push my Cessna Cardinal into my hangar. With the 2-degree slope and no struts to push on, getting the fully-fueled plane up the hill with a tow bar was too much for my back to handle. The AeroTow T1 is exactly the right tool for the job.” – Derek Thompson, Cessna Cardinal owner

Simple and rock steady

“I use mine to tow my hangared SR22 Cirrus and can’t imagine trying to muscle her in with full fuel without the T1. Simple to operate and rock steady in use. Perfect speed for hand towing and great traction on every surface I’ve used it on.” – James P., Cirrus SR22 owner

Moves my aircraft with ease

“Delivery and startup were very easy. The T1 was almost ready to go upon delivery. It only needed the handle to be mounted. It moves my Piper Arrow II with ease.” – Bill, Piper Arrow II owner

Works fine, a few improvements could be made

“Power, traction, and controls work fine, and I have not had issues with going over a 2” curb, even when starting up against the curb. My plane is on the lighter side, and there has been no wheel slip on dry pavement. I have not used it on wet pavement or snow. It is easier to control the positioning of the plane in the hangar with the T1 than manually pushing. The light is a nice touch and helps me know if I left the switch on.

The ability to make sharper turns without lifting the unit would be a big plus. Add-on adapter kits would help provide sales to existing users.” – Dianne T., Vashon Ranger owner

Performance is great

“This is my second AeroTow. I had my first one for over ten years. It worked great. When I sold my plane, I sold it with the plane. Now I have another Cirrus, and I had to get another AeroTow. Again, totally satisfied. They did a terrific job at packaging and shipping, and, once again, performance is great.” – Randy Furr, Cirrus SR22 owner

Highly recommend

“I purchased my AeroTow T1 tower for my Piper Archer. I absolutely love it. The speed and ease of operation is perfect. I love the fact it stays on, ready to roll, and fully charged continuously. Also, since I fly a lot at night, the LED bar is a real lifesaver at night when connecting and loading my airplane in the hangar. It’s a well-designed and engineered airplane tow, and I highly recommend this tow to any of my fellow aviators.” – Peter DeFranco, Piper Archer owner

Makes it a one-person job

“It’s a very well-built unit and works very well. It makes moving the airplane in and out of the hangar a one-person job rather than having to have two. It also makes it safer to ease your airplane into tight spaces, minimizing risk of running into something.” – Glenn Weiblen, Cessna Skylane TR182 owner

I love it, but steering is a bit awkward

“I love it. My back loves it. I bought the unit with two adaptors, one for the nosewheel on the Mooney and one for the tailwheel on the Starduster Too. The adaptor for the Starduster Too is not quite right because it doesn’t fit the nuts on the tailwheel properly, but I’m sure I can get the proper fitment with a call to this great company. Fortunately, moving the ‘Duster around is still within my ken.

The only minor ‘complaint’ I have is that steering the unit seems awkward. Going straight is no problem, but to make a turn, I have to stop, reorient the unit a bit, make a little turn. Stop again. Make a little more of the turn. Repeat. Still far better than moving the plane by hand with the old tow bar!” – Scott Winick, Mooney M20E & Starduster Too owner
